Session FAQ’S

Thank you for taking time and visiting my website. I know choosing a photographer and preparing for a session can be overwhelming, and you may have many questions. I’m here to help and address some frequently asked questions.

Where are we located ?

We are based in Little Elm Texas, Union Park area, we are only taking booking within 25 miles from Little Elm. any thing far from that will incur a small travel fee.

What makes us different?

I am truly passionate about what I do! I love capturing real memories and spending time with fun people. I promise to make your session enjoyable and relaxed.

What Style we use?

I’m a natural light, lifestyle photographer. I won’t take posed photos with forced smiles. Instead, I’ll help you be yourselves. I’ll capture the genuine love and connection with your family. My focus is on showing the real you in a meaningful way.

What should you expect during a session with us?

Our goal is to make you have fun together! Laugh, cuddle, kiss, and play! Forget about making your kids behave and stay still for the camera. Let them explore, jump on the bed, and be silly—embrace the chaos and enjoy it with them. We’ll capture moments you’ll cherish and bring smiles, laughter, and even tears. During the session, I may help you find different positions or guide you to great light, but mostly, you’ll be free to enjoy the experience.

What time do the sessions take place?

For indoor sessions, timing is flexible, but mornings (around 10 AM) are ideal for babies and young kids since they’re usually more relaxed. Prefer afternoons? No problem—we’ll make it work!

Outdoor sessions, yet, follow golden hour—just after sunrise or before sunset—when the light is at its most magical. Seasonal changes affect start times, and summer can mean early mornings or late evenings. If you have little ones, I understand that adjusting their routine can be tough. But for this one day, I promise it’s worth it. The photos will be truly special!

What if I want to have a session in my own home. how does that works?

In-home sessions are truly special, capturing your family in the comfort of your own space. When I arrive, I’ll do a quick walkthrough to find the best natural light. I usually use two or three rooms. These are often the master bedroom, living room, or a kid’s room, depending on the light. No need to deep clean! A little decluttering helps, but your home doesn’t need to look like a showroom—just cozy and lived-in, just as it!

Do you offer posed newborn sessions? Do you bring any props along?

we don’t do posed newborn sessions and we don’t supply any props. Our focus is on capturing what unfolds naturally in front of us.  We are more than happy to include any special mementos. These can be blankets or toys you have for your little one. They are important to you and your family.

OMG What should I wear?

The most important thing is to feel amazing and comfortable in what you wear. While personal style is key, certain clothing choices can enhance your session and make your photos extra special.

Neutrals are always timeless. Flowery skirts, maxi dresses, or classic basics with textured layers like scarves or cardigans photograph beautifully. Avoid shirts with big graphics, logos, or lettering, and steer clear of overly mixed patterns. The traditional matching white or black t-shirt with jeans combo is best left behind!

Coordinated but not overly matching outfits work well for families. Moms, choose your outfit first. Build the family’s look around it. This is your chance to wear something you love! Avoid dark colors for in-home family, newborn, or maternity sessions, as black can hide your baby bump.

For newborns, keep it simple with a plain white onesie. This outfit leaves tiny fingers and toes visible. Pair it with a beautiful swaddle or blanket. Always have backup outfits for both baby and parents—just in case!

Lastly, consider your session location when picking outfits. Practical footwear is essential plus clean shoes and socks!

what if the weather forecast is looking awful and we have booked an outdoor session?

We live in TX and you all know the weather can be funny any day, any time. If you book a session in winter or summer and it rains, we’ll reschedule. If the forecast looks wet, we can decide the night before or wait until morning. I’ll stay in touch beforehand to discuss options.

What happen if one of us get sick?

If anyone is feeling unwell, including myself, we’ll reschedule. Health and safety is a priority, especially during a global pandemic. Even mild symptoms are a good reason to postpone.

What if my kids are extra energetic, refuse to cooperate, or have a full-blown meltdown during the session?

You’re not alone! I know young kids rarely follow instructions, and even the smallest thing can set them off. No need to stress—we’ll take breaks as needed. Since we’re not forcing poses or stiff smiles, they usually end up enjoying themselves! And if things go sideways, I’ve got a few tricks to keep the session fun.

Can you edit my photos to make me look younger and slimmer?

I focus on natural edits that enhance color, contrast, and exposure while fixing minor blemishes if needed. I don’t alter body shapes, hairstyles, or backgrounds. For extensive retouching, I can refer you to a professional retouched at an extra cost.
